Papua New Guinea Project Instructions: Australian Style!!

The Seigu Clinic Project is being managed by a gentleman out of Sydney, Australia. When we arrived at the clinic, he had left 34 pages of notes and pictures.

To boil it down, our tasks were:

For the clinic

  • Finish the window flashings while maintaining our quirks
  • Bring all cladding from its storage location and sort by color (black in the blue container, red in the building, white, yellow and green on top of the solar container), except there was no yellow-someone forgot to order it
  • Install the cladding on all walls except the North 1st floor and West ground floor, making sure to check all flashing and sarking and screwing only into the tophats
  • Install window hoods

For the shed

  • Bubble wrap the sides and shed before cladding the roof and sides
  • Install East, West and South barges
  • Line SOME of the interior walls with plywood
  • Install Roller Garage doors

Other jobs

  • Install noggins in all the interior wet areas
  • Install floor stiffeners
  • Support the ceiling furrow channels where they were spanning above specification

And most importantly, BLOW OFF OUR SWARF AT THE END OF EACH DAY.

How did you do? Were you able to decipher the Australian lingo?
